Dr. Tonya Wood is a licensed psychologist (PSY18927) with more than 20 years of experience. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Virginia. She specializes in working with individuals and couples experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, and/or considering third-party reproductive assistance.
Dr. Wood is also Director of Clinical Training in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University and has provided extensive lectures, training teaching, and supervision on various subjects including trauma-informed care, cultural diversity, clinical supervision,
and infertility.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Wood is Past-President of the California Psychological Association and is currently a member of the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
She is a 2023 recipient of the American Psychological Association Presidential Citation Award for her work in trauma, infertility, and reducing disparities for underserved communities.
